Katherine Johnson, FNP-C

A proud graduate of Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Katherine Johnson is honored to care for her patients with a personalized, compassionate approach. As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, she specializes in managing chronic medical conditions, treating acute illnesses, and guiding patients toward their wellness goals. Before pursuing a career in nursing, Katherine earned a degree in nutrition with an emphasis in dietetics from Oklahoma State University in 2010. With over seven years of combined classroom instruction and clinical experience, she developed a deep understanding of chronic conditions, including weight management, from both a biological and metabolic perspective.

Experience and Certifications

Katherine’s experience in both internal and family medicine fueled her passion for providing wellness, weight loss, and chronic care management solutions that go beyond conventional approaches—leading to the founding of Johnson Family Medical. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and an active member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, she is a founding member of NP Axxess, the only Independent Practice Association for nurse practitioners in Texas.

Personal Interests

Outside of her medical practice, Katherine is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoys reading, traveling, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. A Frisco native, she deeply values the community’s unique blend of small-town charm and modern growth, making it the perfect place to serve and support her patients.
