How does the hair restoration work?

PRP Hair Restoration works by using your body's natural healing abilities to regrow healthy cells, promoting the creation of new elastin and collagen in the skin. After you are seated comfortably in one of our private treatment rooms, a sample of your blood will be collected and placed in a centrifuge machine. The components of your blood are extracted and the platelet-rich plasma will be injected into your scalp with a few shallow injections. The process generally only takes about 30 minutes or so, depending on the number of areas being treated. Because it uses your own blood, there is little to no risk of allergic or serious adverse reactions. Follow-up PRP sessions may be recommended to help maintain or lengthen your results.

How long do results last?

Hair growth results are permanent! But please keep in mind we recommend a minimum of three treatments to achieve maximum results. These results take about 4-6 weeks to achieve, with treatments usually recommended every two weeks.

Is the treatment painful?

The first step of collecting a blood sample is comparable to a routine blood lab draw. The PRP injections feel similar to a BOTOX® injection. Typically, patients will feel a mild pinch or pressure at the time of injection. If you are concerned about being uncomfortable, we can provide a topical numbing cream to eliminate and discomfort.
